Sikkim PSC Sub Inspector (Pre) Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2014

Sikkim Public Service Commission (PSC) will conduct a Written exam (Preliminary) for recruitment of posts of Sub Inspector (Civil Police & Armed Police). Nowadays Competition Level become very high so Competitive Exams gets too tougher. Candidates facing critical problem of “What to prepare” and “How to prepare”. So, here we are providing the latest Syllabus & Exam Pattern of Sub Inspector (Preliminary) Exam conducting by Sikkim PSC.

Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for Sub Inspector (Civil Police & Armed Police) written Exam (Pre) is as Follows:-
► The written test will be multiple choice/objective type.
► The question paper consist of 300 marks.
► The time duration will be 02:30 (Two and Half) hours (150 minutes).
► There will also be a Physical Endurance cum Physical Efficiency Test of 100 marks after written exam.

Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Sikkim PSC Sub Inspector (Pre) written Exam is given below :-
1) Current Events of State, National & International importance.
2) History of India and Indian National Movement.
3) Main features of Indian Constitution.
4) Panchayati Raj (local Self Government)
5) Economic and social development–sustainable development, poverty, demographics main environmental, social, educational, health, rural & urban developmental programmes of Central and State Government.
6) General aspect about law & order and international security.
7) General Science (class X level)
8) Mathematics (class X level)
9) English (class X level)

Physical Endurance cum Physical Efficiency Test : The standards of Physical Efficiency cum Physical Endurance Test prescribed for Sub-Inspector are as follows :-

a. 100 meter Race
Male Candidates Female Candidates Level Marks
Below 13.0 seconds Below 16.5 seconds A 20 marks
13.0 to 14.5 seconds 16.5 to 18 seconds B 16 marks
14.5 to 16.0 seconds 18 to 19.5 seconds C 12 marks
Above 16.0 seconds Above 19.5 seconds Failed and Disqualified

b. 1500 meter race :
Male Candidates Female Candidates Level Marks
Below 5.5 minutes Below 16.5 minutes A 20 marks
5.5 to 6.75 minutes 16.5 to 18 minutes B 16 marks
6.75 to 8.0 minutes 18 to 19.5 minutes C 12 marks
Above 8.0 minutes Above 19.5 minutes Failed and Disqualified

c. High Jump (maximum three chances at the qualifying level and one chance at each subsequent level) :

Above 1.45 meters Above 1.15 meters A 20 marks
1.30 to 1.45 meters 1.00 to 1.15 meters B 16 marks
1.15 to 1.30 meters 0.85 to 1.00 meters C 12 marks
Below 1.15 meters Below 0.85 meters Failed and Disqualified

d. Long Jump (maximum three chances at the qualifying level and one chance at each subsequent level) :

Above 4.50 meters Above 3.40 meters A 20 marks
4.05 to 4.50 meters 3.00 to 3.40 meters B 16 marks
3.60 to 4.05 meters 2.60 to 3.00  meters C 12 marks
Below 3.60 meters Below 2.60 meters Failed and Disqualified

e. Shot Put (three chances) :

Above 7.10 meters Above 5.20 meters A 20 marks
6.20 to 7.10 meters 4.70 to 5.20 meters B 16 marks
5.30 to 6.20 meters 4.20 to 4.70 meters C 12 marks
Below 5.30 meters Below 4.20 meters Failed and Disqualified
