Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) will conduct a Written exam for recruitment in Manipur Health Service Grade IV (Medical Officer).
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for Medical Officer written Exam is as Follows:-
► The written test will be multiple choice/objective type.
► Each question paper consist of 200 questions of 300 marks.
► The time duration will be 03:00 hours (180 minutes).
► The standard of question paper will be that of MBBS.
► There will also be a Personality Test of 50 marks.

The Question Paper shall be of Objective Type covering general appreciation and understanding of medical science including matters of everyday observation and experience, as may be expected of a well-educated MBBS graduate person who has not made a special study of any particular discipline. Interview/ Personality Test :
The candidates will be interviewed by a Board who will have before them a record of his/her career. The candidates will be asked question on matters of general interest with specific stress on matters relating to Medical Science field. The objective of the Interview is to assess the personal suitability of the candidates for a career in Medical Field by a Board competent and unbiased observers. The test is intended to judge the mental caliber of a candidate. In broad terms, this is really an assessment of not only his! her intellectual qualities but also social traits, mental alertness, critical powers of assimilation, clear and logical exposition, balance of judgment, variety and depth. of interest, ability of social cohesion and leadership, intellectual and moral integrity.

1. The technique of the interview is hot that of a strict cross-examination but of a natural thought directed and purposive conversation which is intended to reveal the mental qualities of the candidates.
2. The interview test is not intended to be a test either of the specialized or general knowledge of the candidates which has been already tested through their written paper. Candidates are expected to have take had intelligent interest not only in their special-subjects of academic study but also in the events which are happening around the world in Medical Science along with new discoveries.
