RPSC Assistant Public Relations Officer Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) will conduct a Written exam for recruitment of Assistant Public Relations Officer (APRO).

Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for the Assistant Public Relations Officer written Exam is as Follows:-

► Written Exam will be Multiple Choice Objective Type.
► The Question Paper consists of 120 Questions and 100 marks.
► There will also be negative marking for every wrong answer.
► The Duration of Test is 02 (Two) Hours (120Minutes).

Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Assistant Public Relations Officer written Exam is given below:-

Part – A

1. General awareness about Rajasthan.
2. Various developmental schemes of Government of Rajasthan
3. Salient features of Indian Constitution, fundamental rights and duties, parliament and state legislative assemblies and councils, rural development and panchayati raj.
4. Right to Education, MNREGA.

Part – B

1. Concept of news, news value, essential of news writing, news story structure, inverted pyramid, various types of reporting.
2. Feature – Concept and meaning, special article, success story, features syndicates.
3. Photo journalism, pictures, selection and editing, writing captions.

Part – C

1. Characteristics of various media – traditional, print, electronic & new media and their role in public awareness.
2. Historical development of journalism in Rajasthan, General principals of writing for electronic media, news portal, blogs, definition and characteristics of on line media, interactivity and new media.
3. Important laws relating to media –Law of Defamation, Press and Registration of Books Act, Copyright Act, Press Council Act, RTI.

Part – D

1. Concept of Public Relations, purpose, elements, tools and functions, publicity, propaganda, advertising, structure and working of Public Relations Departments of State Government, media planning, PR in crisis management.
2. Organizing press conferences and tours, press briefings, VVIP visits, preparing PR campaigns.

Part – E

1. Proficiency in Hindi and English Language including Translation from English to Hindi & Hindi to English.
