Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) Chennai under Notification No. 02/2013 had announced 5450 Vacancies for Recruitment under Group ‘D’ Cadre for Trackman, Helper, SCP/ Porter, Peon, Safaiwala, Store Khalasi, Vendor, Track Maintainer. According to the Selection Process of RRC, there will be a Written exam for these Posts. Exam Pattern & Syllabus for this Exam is provided in this Article.
Exam Pattern:- There will be a Objective Type written exam for the Group D Posts.
- Written exam will consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions.
- Time Duration for Written exam is 01 Hours 30 Minutes.
- There shall be Negative Marking of 1/3 Mark in this exam.
- The question paper shall be printed in Hindi, Urdu, English and in the Regional Languages viz. Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada.
- Level of Questions will be Class Xth. Questions will be asked from General Knowledge/ Awareness, Mathematics & Reasoning.
Exam Syllabus:- Syllabus for the Group D Exam will be as follows:-
General Awareness:- Questions will be asked from current events, Indian history, sports, cultures, geography, Indian polity, economy etc.
Reasoning: It would include questions of non-verbal type. The test will include questions on similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc.
Elementary Mathematics:-This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
