West Bengal Public service Commission (WBPSC) will conduct Main written exam of Civil Service (Executive) etc.
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for Civil Service (Executive) Main written exam is as Follows:-
► The Main Examination will consist of five Compulsory papers and two optional subjects(one by group C and D).
► Each Paper will be of 03:00 hours (180 minutes).
► Each compulsory and optional Paper will consist of 100 and 200 marks respectively.
► There will also be a Personality Test of 200 (100 for group D) marks after written exam.

Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Civil Service (Executive) Main written exam Exam is given below :-
Compulsory Papers :
Paper I : Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali Essay, Précis Writing, Composition and Translation from English into Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali (Marks 40+20+20+20).
Paper II : English Essay, Précis Writing, Composition and Translation from Bengali/Hindi/ Urdu/Nepali into English (Marks 40+20+20+20).
Paper III : General Knowledge and Current Affairs (Excluding questions on the Constitution of India and the Five-year Plans (Marks 50+50).
Paper IV : The Constitution of India and the Five-year Plans (Marks 50+50).
Paper V : Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning (Marks 50+50).
